Before you dive into your pieces, spend 20 minutes warming up with scales and arpeggios. Why?

You'll lock in key signatures

You'll train your fingers to land in the right spot
β
You'll start to hear the pitches in your head before you play them
π» Say for example, your piece is in G Major, you need to know:
π§ What each note sounds like
π Where your fingers go on the fingerboard
π No clue about the key signature = no solid start to your piece.
